What is Safe Isolation of Fixed Plant?

An isolation procedure is a set of predetermined steps that must be followed to ensure that plant and related hazards cannot jeopardise the safety of those working on the plant. There must be an isolation procedure for each item of plant, including the application of isolation devices, locks and tags, as practicable.

Course Description

This is a training course on safe isolation of fixed plant.

The course is offered on demand and will take place at the client’s premises. A training room will need to be provided by the client. An initial review of Clients safety procedures will also be conducted.

Who should attend

Directors, Managers, Fixed Plant Operatives like Concrete Plant Operatives, Crushing Plant Operatives, Tar Plant Operatives.

Duration

The course takes 3 hours approx

Entry Requirements

There are no pre-requirements for attendance.

Course summary

Powerpoint presentation, review of existing procedures / policies, practical demonstration, theory exam.

Certification

There will be a practical exam and a theory exam at the end of the course.

A Clive Kelly Safety Ltd, Isolation Safety Awareness Certificate will be issued to all attendees who successfully complete the course and pass the examination.
